Business Audit

Our first step will be to gain an understanding of your challenges and find opportunities.  We'll spend a little timing understanding your business, speaking with your team and will then be able to provide your with a full recommendation on the areas that need focus.

The audit will look at:

  • Business strategy and how this relates to the Supply Chain strategy

  • Current versus Target performance across key business and supply chain KPI's

  • Volumes / supply chain activity including future growth & trends

  • High level supply chain process assessment

  • Supply chain capabilities & skills

The output would be a report which identifies the challenges and opportunities within your business and the solutions that would be considered to support the achievement of your business goals.

Proposition & Profitability

We can help you optimise your business results and improve performance by conducting a thorough review of your proposition & the profitability of your organisation.

Understanding your customer proposition and how your supply chain is set up and performs in delivering it is crucial - if this is not aligned then your customers, profitability and growth can be severely affected.

Using bespoke analysis we'll identify which products, customers and channels to market are delivering (or eroding) the most value by helping you understand your customers' behaviour and demand patterns.

This insight drives both strategic clarity in how the supply chain must operate to achieve the best, most efficient performance, as well as quick wins to deliver real value in the short term.

The proposition & profitability review will help you

  • Understand demand and value drivers

  • Identify opportunities for margin improvements

  • Optimise your supply chain model

  • Assess product lifecycle & profitability.

Inventory Optimisation

Inventory management is a balancing act, a trade off of a number of different factors.  The old adage that you can pick only two of "cheap", "fast" and "reliable" is true!

We have experience supporting companies who stock in excess of 200k SKUs with very high service expectations, ensuring product availability is optimised against working capital and obsolescence risk.

Without understanding how the business proposition influences decisions on inventory optimisation, business risk making poor decisions, whether over or under stocking, impacting service levels, inventory costs and operational costs.

Our analytical tools and inventory management experience allow us to identify the reasons behind incorrect stock levels and tailor an inventory management approach that meets real business needs.

Planning & Forecasting

Planning & Forecasting underpins any successful business - sustainable success is delivered through having tools, policies and most importantly the right people involved in structured & managed process.

There is no single approach to take however, with all business' having different levels of maturity, complexity, data availability and goals.  What is important is that the business aligns behind a single view.

So whether the goal is simply improving forecast accuracy or  fully implementing sales, inventory and operations planning (SIOP), we can help you design the appropriate level of Planning & Forecasting to support you achieving your goals.

Supplier Management & Procurement

By it's definition, a supply chain comprises a number of different stakeholders - understanding what you need from your suppliers is a crucial part of business success.  It's not (always) about price!

Ensuring your suppliers deliver what you require from them & perform at a high level can add significant value to your business.  A poor supplier generates cost and issues throughout your business and into your customers.

From assessing your supplier base, their performance through to developing supplier performance improvement programmes we can help you identify the actions and priorities in improving and driving your suppliers to achieve the goals you set.  This will deliver not only direct cost benefits in procurement costs but also operational costs throughout your business.

Process & Operational Delivery

You can have the best proposition and plans but if you can't execute efficiently and effectively then the business will not achieve it's revenue, profitability and growth goals.

Through understanding the problems, measuring performance and designing new or changed processes we can help a business unlock it's potential.

Within this, the use of technology, the organisation structure, skills and capabilities are also considered to ensure that any new processes can be sustainable and a capability of continuous improvement embedded.
